Queen Louise of Prussia, Vintage Chromolithograph Print

Königin Luise von Preussen , Queen Louise walking on the palace stairs to the gardens. This is a chromolitho from the late 1800s. The print is in good condition. The frame looks beautiful with the piece, but has paint losses proportional to its age. Louise of Prussia (1776–1810) Duchess Louise of Mecklenburg-Strelitz was the Queen of Prussia as the wife of King Frederick William III. The couple's happy, albeit short, marriage produced nine children, including future monarchs Frederick William IV of Prussia and German Emperor Wilhelm. Name variations: Louise de Mecklenburg-Strelitz; Louisa, Luise von Preussen. Pronunciation: Lou-EE-za. Born Princess Louise Auguste Wilhelmine Amalie von Mecklenburg-Strelitz on March 10, 1776, in Hanover, Lower Saxony, Germany; died July 19, 1810, at Hohenzieritz.

Please note: the most attractive quality of a vintage item is its past. With this understanding, I hope you will enjoy the character and history of the treasure you have chosen. I sell items that catch my eye and strive for fair and reasonable prices. I also try to describe and photograph objects in a thorough and honest way. Objects show signs of age, such as patina, stains, chips, scratches and cracks. Therefore, use the zoom function to check photos, read descriptions, and request them before review, so that you are most satisfied with your purchase.
We take photos, describe and send the article according to our knowledge and beliefs. Detailed photos provide good information about the status of an object.
However, we cannot rule out color deviations due to different screen settings (monitor calibration).
Since we sell vintage items, they usually have a story - i.e. signs of wear, minor defects or may be incomplete
but we do our job to highlight the charm of these items! Exciting, funny, curious, forgotten, but also simple, decorative items are our passion.
